His electric music makes you feel excited and strange. In fact, sometimes other worldly. But, it is his storytelling of Major Tom traveling to space that made me a forever fan. Space Oddity remains one of my favorite songs ever (since age three). I think astronaut Chris Hadfield would agree as he performed Space Oddity on the International Space Station.
